Why The New Energy Ratings?

The EU lunched an energy rating system back in 1995 to help give more information to consumers and help them purchase the right item for them, but 25 years later the system is getting a new look.

From March 1^st, 2021, the new energy labels start coming in to place the rating now go from A to G and the A+ A++ and A+++ has been removed.

New A to G ratings

This will go from A to G (with no more confusing A+++ ratings) and is a clearer reflection of how efficient your appliance is by modern standards.

however, this doesn’t mean that if your washing machine previously had an energy rating of A+++ and its now C it is any less efficient.
